WVIZ/PBS Grand Tastings and Seminars

wvizAs the excitement of the World Series winds down, something almost as exciting (at least to wine lovers) will bring hundreds of Northeast Ohioans to Progressive Field. The WVIZ/PBS Grand Tastings and Seminars is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and is returning to the Terrace Club at Progressive Field on Saturday and Sunday, November 11 and 12.

The fan-favorite Grand Tastings will take place at 7:30 p.m. both evenings, November 11 and 12, and will offer tastings of hundreds of wines, including medal winners from the 2016 Wine Competition. Guests can also attend one of six Saturday afternoon wine seminars, including two presented by Dan Greathouse of Heidelberg Vineyards, to enhance their wine knowledge.

While the main staples of the Grand Tastings and Seminars are the same, a few pieces are new this year. One is the Super Pass, a new package option that includes two tickets to a Wine Tasting Seminar, two tickets to the Grand Tasting that evening, Saturday, November 12, and two tickets for a Connoisseur Table tasting.

Also new to this fundraiser is a mobile auction, which will allow attendees to bid throughout the event from their mobile phones on a great selection of wines and other auction items.

All proceeds of the WVIZ/PBS Grand Tastings and Seminars benefit WVIZ/PBS programs and public services. For more information and tickets, visit www.wviz.org/wine.
