Cincy Wine Fest Returns This May

The Cincinnati International Wine Festival is back, LIVE and IN-PERSON this year!

If you haven’t yet experienced it, this festival is truly an unforgettable weekend full of food, fun and spectacular wine from around the world, all in one place, one weekend only.

Typically held each March, the festival’s main events will be held in May this year after being cancelled the past two years due to the pandemic.

The festival itself is a non-profit organization that raises money for other non-profits. So it’s not only an exciting and educational weekend of wine, but it’s also a fundraiser that benefits some amazing local causes focused on the arts, education, health and human services.

For wine lovers, it’s a really wonderful way to experience rare wines that may have been on your bucket list for a while, and also try to some new ones, which could become your future favorite.

The weekend kicks off with the exclusive Cincinnati International Wine Festival Winery Dinner Series held at prestigious restaurants across the city on Thursday, May 19. Visiting wine experts from around the globe team up with local chefs to create incredible multi-course dining experiences with unique wine pairings. Notable participating restaurants include Jeff Ruby’s Carlo & Johnny, Jag’s Steak & Seafood, Red Feather Kitchen, Ivory House, The Capital Grille, Eddie Merlot’s, Le Bar a Beouf, The Metropolitan Club, Morton’s The Steakhouse and The Presidents Room at the Phoenix.

Next up are the festival’s popular grand tastings, on Friday, May 20 and Saturday, May 21 offering unlimited tastes from more than 100 wineries, a silent auction, expansive photo booth, small bites and more. Grand tasting ticket holders may also purchase exclusive access to a collectors tasting room featuring rare and high-end wines that will wow you. A charity auction and luncheon will be held on Saturday of the festival weekend as well.

Miles MacDonnell, co-owner of Round Pond Estate, is serving as the Cincinnati International Wine Festival’s 2022 honorary chair. Round Pond specializes in the creation of pure, expressive wines, artisan food, and unforgettable experiences – all from the heart of Napa Valley.

Don’t miss the fabulous Cincy Wine Fest as it celebrates its 31st year of giving back one glass at a time!
