Carl Ehrhard Meet and Greet – Wine Tasting

Carl Ehrhard and his family tend 22 acres of Riesling and Pinot Noir spread throughout six prime vineyards around the town of Rüdesheim in the Rheingau region of Germany. The estate was founded by the Ehrhard family in 1815 and taken over in 1998 by Carl, his wife Petra and their three daughters. The Ehrhards strive to make wines endowed with personality that express the unique character of their vineyards.

The Eichelmann wine guide is considered the most prestigious in the Germany. The 2017 guide distinguished Carl Ehrhard as the “Aufsteiger des Jahres” which means “Climber” or “Rising Star” of the year. Only one winery is chosen each year and this distinction is very special. It is comparable in the US to Wine Spectator’s #1 wine of the year.

Stop by, meet Carl, taste and see for yourself how delicious his wines really are. Cheeses, crackers and other goodies will be served to compliment the wines. This is a “walk-about” tasting, so reservations are not required, just please let us know if you will be bringing a group.
