Georges Duboeuf Cru Beajolais with Guest Romain Teyteau

November 8, 2017 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

$18

This is not your Beaujolais Neuveau!! Beaujolais’ best wines are made from Gamay fruit grown in the area’s 10 crus (Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly, Chiroubles, Chénas, Fleurie, Juliénas, Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, Régnié and Saint-Amour), or top vineyard sites. Generally a well-kept secret, in the past few years, partly thanks to special attention in the 2015 documentary film Somm: Into the Bottle, cru Beaujolais’ star is steadily rising.

The Duboeuf family has been producing wines for over four centuries. Georges Duboeuf, the King of Beaujolais, is the region’s largest producer, controlling more than 10 percent of the total production. Born in Paris, Romain Teyteau, Export director for George Duboeuf & Fils, will be here to show you some of their top Cru Beajolais. Romain brings the Duboeuf “savoir-faire” with him as he happily shares his love and knowledge of Beaujolais wines.

Beaujolais is one of the most highly recommended wines to pair with your Thanksgiving meal. Stop by after work, or on your way to dinner, meet Romain, taste, and find the perfect bottle for your family’s Thanksgiving. This will be a “walk-about” tasting, so reservations are not required. (includes a great selection of cheeses, crackers and charcuterie)
