Gervasi Vineyard’s 7th Annual “Festa Gervasi! Grape Harvest Festival & Market”

Celebrating another bountiful grape harvest, Gervasi Vineyard has joined forces with North Canton based 720 Market for the Vineyard’s 7th annual “Festa Gervasi! Grape Harvest Festival & Market” to be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 11am to 4pm at the vineyard.
The wine and food experts at Gervasi Vineyard, located at 1700 55th St NE in Canton, have worked closely with the open-air market specialists of 720 Market to create a unique family friendly day featuring live music, vineyard and winery tours, food and drink, along with local makers, bakers, brewers, and growers, plus fun activities for kids.
Gervasi’ annual festival roots are firmly planted in the traditional Italian grape harvest “crush” that is still part of many families and communities in Italy. “The grape harvest arrives with anticipation and excitement; It is the convergence of passionate labor, nature and camaraderie,” said Andrew Codispoti, Gervasi’s director of Winemaking and Distilling Operations.
“Back in my home town in Italy, the whole family united and worked the Vendemmia (harvest); The kids had the best job – stomping the grapes,” Codispoti added. For this year’s festival, children and adults can enjoy the “best job” of harvest by stomping grapes outside the Crush House for a small donation benefiting the local area United Way.
Top notch, delicious food will be available during the festival at the Gervasi Bistro, Crush House and Piazza as well as from local food truck vendors. Winery tours in The Crush House and tours of the North Vineyard are available from 11:30am to 3:30pm; The Villa Grande Tasting Room will be featuring signature cocktails while the Tasting Bar on the Veranda will feature wine and beer flights.
Outdoor seating will be available throughout the festival and live music will be performed on the Piazza lawn.
Face painting, sign painting and coloring contests are a few of the kid-oriented activities.
Over 100 vendors are scheduled to be on hand through the partnership with 720 Market. The festival marks the second collaboration this year between Gervasi Vineyard and 720 Market and is the perfect bookend to the season after the spring-themed May Market held at the vineyard.
720 Market focuses on special event open-air markets held around the community focusing on providing area residents a way to shop local and support local businesses.

With limited onsite parking, complimentary shuttle service is available from GlenOak High School from 11am to 5pm.
