CANTON, OHIO– The Pro Football Hall of Fame and Gervasi Vineyard have partnered for the fourth consecutive year to produce a co-branded wine featuring the Hall’s iconic logo. The specially labeled wine, a Limited-Edition label, made its debut on Monday, July 29, at Gervasi Vineyard.
The 2019 Limited Edition Pinot Grigio is an off-dry white wine that presents attributes of citrus and apples with tropical innuendos. Each wine at Gervasi Vineyard is given a special name. In the Hall of Fame series of wines, the Hall of Fame selected the name “Respect” for this fourth edition. This ties into the Hall of Fame’s mission and the core values learned from the Game – commitment, integrity, courage, respect and excellence. Respect is about having appreciation for your teammates, opponents and yourself.
In addition to the Pinot Grigio, Gervasi Vineyard currently carries a limited supply of the first three Limited Edition Hall of Fame wines in the collection, “Commitment,” a Zinfandel, which is a dry red wine that presents attributes of blackberry, raspberry and black cherry interlaced with nuances of oak; “Excellence,” a Cabernet Sauvignon, which is full bodied with bold layers of black currant, black cherries and notes of plum; and “Integrity” a Chardonnay that is barrel fermented and sur lie aged, displaying elegant oak and fruit.

The four Limited Edition Pro Football Hall of Fame wines released each year beginning in 2016 include: “Respect,” “Commitment,” “Integrity” and “Excellence.” Limited quantities are available for purchase at Gervasi Vineyard in The Marketplace, The Still House, The Crush House Wine Bar & Eatery, as well as at the sister property, The Twisted Olive located in Green, Ohio. Gervasi Vineyard features over 30 varietals of wine with a focus on classical European varieties and includes three premier estate-grown North American hybrids. The wine varietals range from a dry Cabernet Sauvignon, such as “Excellence,” to a sweet Vidal Blanc “Sognata,” an award-winning ice wine made with Ohio grown grapes.
“Gervasi’s Pinot Grigio carries the legacy of being one of the first wines to be released by Gervasi Vineyard,” said Andrew Codispoti, director of winemaking and distilling for Gervasi Vineyard. “The grapes for this edition are 100% Ohio grown. Stylistically, the wine shows ’respect’ to the Pinot Grigio grape by showcasing it refreshing characteristics. We are pleased to have it included in the Football Hall of Fame Limited Edition wine portfolio.”
In celebrating excellence, integrity, and commitment, as a premier winery resort in Ohio, Gervasi Vineyard offers wine education classes, winery and distillery tours, as well as exclusive pairings tours for wine and spirits enthusiasts. Complimentary tours of the winery are offered every Saturday at noon, 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. at The Crush House Wine Bar & Eatery. Complimentary tours of the distillery are available on Sundays at noon and 1:00 p.m. at The Still House. Tours last approximately 30 minutes with no advance registration needed. Guests are invited to taste Gervasi wines and/or spirits before or after their tour. All domestic Gervasi wines and Gervasi Spirits are available for purchase to take home, including the Limited-Edition Hall of Fame Wines.
