For the second straight year, The Villas at Gervasi Vineyard in Canton, Ohio earned the AAA Four Diamond Award, making it one of the top-rated lodgings in the state.
The rating is a notable achievement for the Tuscan-inspired vineyard, restaurant and lodgings, the only Canton area accommodation to receive the prestigious award.
Four Diamond hotels account for just 5.3 percent of the more than 29,000 AAA Approved and Diamond rated hotels.
Throughout the U.S. 1,548 establishments earned this distinction for 2014. Across Ohio, only 15 lodgings received the AAA Four Diamond rating. Just one property, Inn Walden in Aurora, earned a Five Diamond rating.
According to the AAA website, Four Diamond ratings are “upscale in all areas.”
“Accommodations are progressively more refined and stylish,” the website says. “The physical attributes reflect an obvious enhanced level of quality throughout. The fundamental hallmarks at this level include an extensive array of amenities combined with a high degree of hospitality, service, and attention to detail.”
Gervasi Vineyards offers suites, entire villas and a farmhouse for overnight lodging. Guests can take advantage of bistro, patio and private dining and have access to The Villas at Gervasi Vineyard’s amenities including spa and yoga services, golf packages and culinary and wine classes and events.
Gervasi Vineyard is also a popular wedding location.
