A New Wine Region Making Waves Across Ontario

You don’t have to travel far to find great wine.

Similar to the soil conditions found in grape growing regions such as Bourgogne, Alsace, & Loire Valley in France, there’s a new wine region splashing up in Ontario.

The Huron Shores wine region is the newest emerging in the province. Located near abundant wildlife, nature trails, and Lake Huron’s sandy beaches, meet the winemakers who call it home.

Alton Farms is a 90-acre estate winery, where passionate hosts Anne and Marc Alton pride themselves on producing 100% handcrafted VQA’s.

Discover how these winemakers taking a hands-on (and hooves-on) approach to creating a new Ontario wine region, one grape at a time.
