Alaskan Kolsch

This Alaska-bred take on traditional German sour brew stays true to the hallmarks of Kolsch-style beers. Its beautiful golden-orange color is reminiscent of fresh straw and pumpkin. The ale pours with brilliant clarity, crowned by a thick, foamy head. Its faint aroma does not give much away about the flavor to come. Sweet and toasty malt open evolves into a nutty hoppy finish. At 5 percent alcohol, this uber-lighter-bodied sessionable ale packs a strong finish after a mild, inviting opening.
