This frothy brew is the second in Jolly Pumpkin’s collab beer with Seattle’s Holy Mountain Brewing Company. It pours a smoky amber orange with lots of carbonation and weighs in at 6.5 percent ABV. The nose is tropical and fruity mango-citrus, with a tang of vinegary funk. Grassy orange peel, mango and melon flavors are equalized by a crackery earthiness and just-right sourness. The brawny backbone of the malt and the oak in which it’s aged mellows the hops’ astringent bite in this very skillfully composed sour IPA.
