With the late summer honey harvest ahead, we wanted to give this braggot a try. Made with both honey and barley, it’s a lovely coppery ale with strong honey-citrus nose. The taste matches the aroma, with intensely honeyed flavor that’s undoubtedly sweet, yet not cloying, and is cleaner than expected. A mild warming from the beefy 11 percent ABV adds to the balance of this well-made braggot.
