Tequila!

Trivia question: Who recorded the 1958 gold record-winning song that had exactly one word: “Tequila!”?

Cue the sound track. Now that the weather is beginning to warm up, we’re beginning to pine for a sultry summer night and a good, cold margarita.

We recently tasted Tres Agaves tequila, made in Mexico’s Tequila Valley using the finest traditional methods. Tres Agaves Blanco, which is unaged, had a clean agave aroma with some herbal, citrus notes. It’s bright, smooth and full of flavor. Tres Agaves Reposado spends nine months in bourbon or whiskey barrels from Kentucky or Tennessee, lending a subtle nuttiness in both aroma and taste, as well as increased depth and richness. Both excellent! The blanco sells for about $23 and the reposado for about $26.

The answer to our trivia question? Pour yourself a finger and grab a lime wedge, then Go to YouTube and find the Saturday Night Beech-Nut Show of May 03, 1958 with Dick Clark. Enjoy!
